The motivation behind unsugar.sg

I saw first-hand on how diabetes robbed away the life out of my grandma. Gone were the days she could enjoy sweet treats. She had segregated meal options compared to the rest of the family and unable to share much of the home-cooking. White rice turned to brown, low-GI rice. She had to pack diabetic-friendly food to gatherings or risk falling due blurred vision/ headache when her blood sugar spiked too high.

Creating and sharing sugar-free desert options that are inclusive to diabetics and non-diabetics has been one of the activities within my bucket list. I'm taking the steps to leave the thinking of making it happen one-day to actual day one.
